County Offices Closed July 3 for Independence Day June 19 Stafford offices, departments and facilities, except the Regional Landfill on Eskimo Hill Road, will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2009, in observance of Independence Day, which is Saturday, July 4. County pools, Aquia Landing and the Historic Port of Falmouth will all be open on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. The following offices and facilities will also remain open: Fire and Rescue Information (540) 658-4440 Emergency 9-1-1
Sheriff’s Office Information (540) 658-4400 Emergency 9-1-1
Magistrate (540) 659-2968 The Regional Landfill on Eskimo Hill Road will be open for business on July 3 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. However, the landfill will be closed on Saturday, July 4th. It will re-open on Sunday, July 5, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Circuit Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and General District Court in Stafford will also be closed on Friday, July 3. <back to June 2009 news index |
