The goal of the workshops is
for staff and CMSS Architects, the lead consultant on the project, to obtain the
public’s input on the preliminary redevelopment plans for each of the areas. The
workshops will be interactive, with participants working in groups of six to
eight people to exchange ideas and discuss opportunities.
Stafford’s 2006 Economic Development Strategic Plan identified
these four areas as prime locations for redevelopment. Officials are encouraging
redevelopment through private sector investment and partnership with the goal of
providing a framework for improvements over time. The workshops are the next
step toward finalizing plans.

redevelopment, visit Economic Development’s Web site at www.gostaffordva.gov or call the
department at (540) 658-8681.
